Some of you will know my brother lost an exceptionally short battle last year and I wasn't prepared for this, at the same time my mum was enduring a battle of her own and is currently a survivor again. 

I have not walked a mile in either of their shoes and cannot begin to imagine what it feels like but there is support every step of the way. Emotionally it will be a roller coaster but that will slot in nicely with the hills - I won't be alone as I am joined with some beautiful childhood friends who have all faced similar battles over the years and continue to do so.
