We’re The Pituitary Foundation. We’re a dedicated team offering practical, emotional and peer support to everyone living with or impacted by a pituitary condition, to feel empowered and live with a greater sense of wellbeing.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Sarah is one of the most incredible and inspirational people I know, and I have the privilege of calling her my friend. She is consistently positive, brave and high spirited even through the tremendous ordeal she has faced.

Over the past 3 years, Sarah has been incorrectly diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, has almost lost her sight, has had 3 rounds of surgery including brain surgery, numerous MRI scans and countless trips to the hospital. This is all because very few people, including doctors and nurses are aware of Pituitary conditions.

For an unknown reason Sarah’s body attacked her pituitary gland in 2014. Thanks to the Pituitary Foundation, Sarah now, has and understands her diagnosis and with the support of medication can finally begin rebuilding her life.

Sarah’s experience would have knocked the best of us, unable to travel, work, or sometimes even move, but she is continuing to show courage and beginning to tell her story in order to help raise awareness and money for this incredible charity.

This is why we are abseiling down the Orbital in the Olympic Park. Many of you know I like to do challenging things and it is rare for me to ask for sponsorship, but this is a truly worthy cause. If you can, please help me raise money for this special charity and make a difference for someone who is facing similar challenges to those faced by Sarah.

To find out more about Sarah’s story please read her blog https://sbm44.wordpress.com.

Thank you.
