Story

Anstruther is home to one of the UKs busiest waterways. RNLI volunteers are looking forward to enhancing their lifesaving service when a new Shannon lifeboat arrives on station in 2023. But it wont fit in their existing boathouse and they urgently need a new base to continue their lifesaving mission. I'm taking part in the Million Step Challenge to raise funds for the new lifeboat station because I want to give people in this area the best chance of survival should they get into trouble in the water. So, I'm challenging myself to walk 1,000,000 steps between 1st January and 1st May 2022! Please donate to my challenge and help to fund a new, purpose-built lifeboat station that will boost lifesaving here for generations to come. Together, we can save lives now and in the future.

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
