Story
I have continued to set new challenges, as since we lost my Dad to Leukaemia 8 years ago, I changed how I look at life. If the events I choose to do puts me in a position to help raise money for this worthy charity, then it's worth the painstaking training programme I put myself through.
I remind myself whether I'm struggling with a run, it's wet and windy whilst out on the bike, my swim session feels like i'm wading through treacle or I've got DOMS from my strengthening session in the gym. It is nothing compared to the times I watched my Dad suffering and what many other people are still suffering right now. The treatment my Dad had would work for so long then try another and so on and so on.
So I feel a duty to continue to raise money so these amazing people who are constantly researching new ways and drugs to fight back at blood cancer.
