OUR MISSION is to increase global awareness of encephalitis, saving lives and building better futures.
In the words of Kelly - Brooke's Mum
ENCEPHILITIS is inflammation of the brain, caused by infection or an allergic reaction.
Brooke had neither of these and 7 months later we are still none the wiser as to why she became infected with encephalitis.
It ruins lives and ruins the lives of others!
People don’t know what ENCEPHALITIS is or have ever even heard the word - We certainly hadn’t.
We are very lucky to still have this firecracker with us, she has a long road ahead of figuring out what her brain can and can’t do and what will or won’t work when she is older. This kid is a fighter and she will continue to defy the odds 🙌
So we will be running the Leeds 10k on July 7th this year to raise the profile of ENCEPHALITIS. Help us and support us all!
