Story
I made it! Going up was relatively easy. Coming down was knackering!! That's where the lack of prior training REALLY showed! But I did it, you supported it, and that's all that matters!
I wasn't altogether persuaded by the two unicyclists that theirs was an easier mode of travel down: it was certainly quicker, but the ration of falling off to traveling seemed frankly unacceptable. (I kid you not) However, I was quite tempted by the paragliding ... maybe next time??
The arrangements by Afasic Cymru were fantastic and I felt really safe and well looked after, but not at all hassled to stay with the group, go faster than I could manage or do anything I didn't want to do.
If I had had more puff I would have told them all the TRUE story of the origin of Mount Snowdon and the giant who is buried beneath it. The mountain's name in Welsh, Yr Wyddfa, means the burial barrow. I rest my case.
Thank you all very much. Diolch yn fawr iawn
