Story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
To mark the end of my treatment for breast cancer, I want to raise money for Maggie's Dundee but also to remember my beloved sister, Lisa, who also suffered from breast cancer, being diagnosed just over a year before me. Sadly Lisa lost her battle and died only 2 weeks ago.
I intend to do a skydive in July, to coincide with Lisa's 50th birthday, which was her goal to see but unfortunately she didn't make it.
Maggie's centres provide practical and emotional help to anyone affected by cancer, not just the patient but families and friends too. From helping with benefits advice, counselling and well being to providing an uplifting space to meet people, have a coffee or have some quiet time away from the hospital environment. £40 means someone can spend an hour with a benefits adviser. £180 means a family can get ongoing support from a psychologist after losing someone from cancer. £2400 supports 180 centre visitors a day.
Lisa and I, along with our families and friends, found Maggie's Dundee to be a great help while undergoing treatment and now moving forward for myself.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, your donations will be most welcome.
