Story
My friends Linda, Lucy and I are running the Great North Run to raise money for the Anthony Nolan charity. Our dear friend’s daughter was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, a very quickly-progressing cancer of the white blood cells, at the end of 2022. We have seen how aggressive the treatment needs to be and what a huge impact the diagnosis has on all involved. The Anthony Nolan charity provides a stem cell register aswell as carrying out essential research and providing much-needed post transplant care.
Although all three of us run (aka plod) regularly, this half marathon will be a real challenge for us and we would really appreciate your support. Every penny we raise will go towards helping to save and improve the lives of people with blood cancer and blood disorders. Thank you so much!
