Having volunteered for FareShare over the past year I have seen the positive effects of sending food to help those vulnerable in the area, through food poverty. The need for this has grown substantially through the current pandemic with more families facing financial challenges.  Currently 1 in 8 people in the UK struggle to afford to eat. I'm supporting FareShare Midlands respond to the Coronavirus Crisis and increase their work to distribute meals to vulnerable people across the midlands. I've signed up to the Miles for Meals challenge to raise money for FareShare Midlands. I am hoping to walk from Watermead Park in Leicester to Norton Junction of the Grand Union Canal over the next 2 weekends, hopefully accompanied by Toby the dog.
