Story
Thank you for visiting my page. I'm doing the London marathon in April to raise money for Sarcoma UK, in memory of my dad Terry who passed away in 2013 following a two year battle with angiosarcoma (a rare form of cancer).
While my dad was a regular runner, I have always struggled to keep running when there is no ball, no team mates, no competition to motivate me. This time, however, I am motivated by the goal to raise as much money as I can for this worthy cause while doing something that would impress the hell out of my dad ... hopefully it all goes to plan on the day!
Sarcoma UK is the only cancer charity in the UK focused on all types of sarcoma. Sarcoma is a cancer of the bone and soft tissue. It is one of the hardest to diagnose, and difficult to treat. We can help change this. By donating to my page, you will fund vital research projects looking for better treatments. Your donation will also raise awareness of the symptoms of sarcoma to help patients get an early diagnosis, and ensure everyone has access to specialist advice.
My family and I have been raising funds and awareness for this charity over the past five years - this will be my biggest challenge to date. Thank you so much for your support!
