Story
'What a stunning book and wonderful fundraising idea ! Some of the pictures and words made me feel quite emotional - even now after all this time of living with Covid. At times it still feels quite surreal...the book is a reminder of this time for years to come and pass down to future generations.' Lucy Simmonds ( Neuro Developmental Therapist).

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. The photo journal you have viewed for free online is an opportunity to raise funds for to support staff and volunteers caring for COVID-19 patients. We may no longer clap weekly for our key workers but donations raised from this photo journal will be put to practical use.
During the initial 2020 lockdown daily walks became my therapy and friends asked me to share the photos I had taken. These amateur imperfect photos gave comfort to those isolating at home, providing perspective and a connection with the changing outside world. They gave us something to talk about and seemed to ground us all. The contrast between lockdown life and nature provided its own narrative. That is why I wanted to share the photos and narrative with a wider audience.
At the end of the first 60 days in lockdown there were 41,449 UK deaths from COVID-19. That figure had grown to 65,520 by 17 December 2020. The first lockdown seems an eternity ago and the numbers no longer really register with many of us.
That was 2020 and with a vaccine now being rolled out we hope for a brighter 2021.
Thank you for donating and taking time to reflect.
