Story
Welcome to my fundraising page!
I am running the Brighton Marathon in September for Anthony Nolan. This is a charity close to my heart and I am doing this in memory of my auntie Mary, she passed away on the 22nd August this year.
Mary was first diagnosed with Leukemia in September 2018. This was a horrible shock for the whole family, Mary is an incredibly kind person who's family is so important to her and she has always done so much for all of us.
Mary underwent 6 months of chemotherapy from September 2018 to March 2019 and was in remission making a slow but steady recovery. In March 2020 the doctors discovered that the Leukemia had come back and was in an advanced stage of the disease.
We are devastated to say that on the 22nd August this year Mary passed away. She had fought an incredibly brave battle for six months and we were shocked to find out that the Leukaemia had returned.
Every bone marrow donor, gives someone a life. This is what makes Anthony Nolan such an incredible charity, the work they do really counts.
They do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant.
I would be so grateful to anyone that donates to my cause and if you want to go a step further you sign up to the Anthony Nolan stem cell register and save someone's life.
