Story
Myself and my friends, Jack and Dan, will be taking on the massive challenge of doing the Tough Mudder this year!
We will be taking on the big 10 mile challenge this time round, which will entail climbing over, ducking under and sliding through various different obstacles on our adventures (and of course getting pretty muddy in the process! 😬)
We have chosen to raise money for the Mental Health Foundation as their mission means a lot to myself personally, which I’m sure millions of others can also relate to. The Mental Health Foundation’s core set of values is to prevent mental health problems from occurring in the first place, promoting better mental health for all. You can read more about the Mental Health Foundation and the fantastic work that they do each and everyday here: https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/ 💚
This leads us very nicely onto why we have chosen such an event to bring mental health awareness to - to some people a Tough Mudder can sound like the absolute worst thing that you could possibly physically and mentally put yourself through, and you probably wouldn't be too far from the truth 😂 a big reason for me for attempting a Tough Mudder is to break my own boundaries and to reach goals that most wouldn't think possible. It creates a sense of achievement when you reach that coveted finish line - it's a huge challenge mentally, so when we can reach that finish line after all the training that we've all been doing ever since booking it back in April, whether that’s running huge distances or practically living at the gym, smashing this one out the park will inspire us and hopefully others to reach their goals and show that anything's possible!
Thank you for finding the time to read this. ❤️
