The Grand Brighton Half Marathon 2020 · 23 February 2020 ·
Hello, I’m going to run Brighton half marathon for grassroots Suicide prevention, a charity that does as the name suggests, helps build awareness and training in order to help those at risk from suicide.
I have never done anything like this before, running around with loads of people I mean. I’m going to run with my brothers. We will run free in the ice cold February wind.
Actually we are getting into it and it has already been worth doing just to train together.
I felt compelled to raise money for suicide awareness after a wave of too many deaths by suicide amongst mine and my brothers’ friends. It is heartbreaking, confusing and on a more general level, statistically, way too common. Like lots of things, it wont just disappear if you don’t talk about it.
Please donate.
Grassroots believes that we can all make a difference; suicide can be prevented through open and direct conversations. That's why they've trained over 15,000 people in life-saving suicide prevention, self-harm and mental health awareness training.Your donation would help Grassroots fund places on their evidence-based suicide prevention training, particularly for those who might otherwise struggle to access training. This will build vital life-saving skills in the community. What your combined donations could buy
