Story

Our beautiful son Finley William Smith was born silently into this world at 21.41 on 19th January 2018. He was the most perfect 7lb 4oz baby. Finley died during labour due to a newly qualified midwife failing to recognise his signs of distress for 2 hours.  The NHS have admitted negligence and causing his death.  We will forever have a Finley shaped hole in our hearts and wish things could have been different.  Nothing will ever get our precious boy back which is why we are constantly finding other ways to honor his memory.

I am personally not one to complete physical challenges and have never pushed myself however this event sounds perfect for my first physical challenge for my boy.  To climb Snowdon under the stars and to watch the sunrise, whilst thinking of Finley and all other babies taken too soon.  Plus to complete the event with my closest family and friends by my side will be perfect! (Well perfect enough apart from the climbing a mountain for 8 hours, in the dark...!)

Please support team Finley's Stragglers and help us raise plenty of money for Sands and for fellow bereaved parents.
