Story
Earlier this summer I learned that my sister has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Shortly after that we learned that Lynne from J. & H. Meynell Pet and Garden shop was also about to undergo treatment. They will both shortly be starting their treatment and so inevitably will be losing their hair as one of the side effects. To show solidarity with them both, and all the others who have suffered, Chris and I have decided to shave our heads... but why stop there? Instead we decided to involve some friends and other businesses on Finkle Street and further afield to raise money to help with the work of Breast Cancer UK.
We are grateful to The Men’s Room for kindly offering their expertise and as importantly those who have volunteered to brave the shave, Ian from Tasty Macs and Philip, Chris and Jeffrey from the Wilfred Deli and Pantry.
Subject to what is allowed under government Corona Virus regulations please come see the great shave on Finkle Street in Richmond on Saturday 10 October between 13.00 and 14.00 and please share this page with as many of your friends as possible so that we can raise as much money to find invaluable funds to help beat this scourge.
The Corona Virus lockdown has resulted in a dramatic drop in fundraising, and Breast Cancer Uk's income has dropped by 80%. Income that would otherwise go to vital breast cancer research and prevention. Breast Cancer UK rely solely on people fundraising for them. They do not receive any statutory or government funding. They urgently need your support to continue their work to prevent breast cancer. So I'm going to Go Bald for Breast Cancer UK - please support me by donating what you can.Thank you and check back to see the results!
