WORLD LION DAY is the first global campaign to celebrate the importance of the lion worldwide.

'Find your Pride' is a charity fun day on behalf of African Lion and Environmental Research Trust (ALERT) to raise awareness of the plight of the lion and the issues that are bringing the threat of extinction ever closer.

For centuries the iconic species has been a part of our every day life, whether we realise we see them or not. There are lions that have captured our hearts and some we know less about. 

On World Lion Day some of these lions will be hiding around Sefton Park. Seek out as many lions as you can, take part in the fun quiz, and receive a goody bag for all your efforts. There'll be face-painting, an interactive drum circle and other fun stuff. 

All funds raised on the day will help ALERT continue their important conservation work.
