Finding Nimmo.

Nimmo is my first guide dog and we have been together for over 6 years now. Finding Nimmo has made all the difference to my life, as my sight has diminished he has enabled me to get out and about independently and with confidence.

Sadly, Nimmo will be retired in a couple of years and I will then be in line for another dog. As a guide dog costs over £40,000 over its lifetime, I thought that I would like to raise some money for Guide Dogs to help with the costs and to show my appreciation for the tremendous work and support that they offer.

Together with my friend Simon Taylor, I am intending to cycle on a tandem from Lands End to Bradford on Avon, a distance of nearly 250 miles. We will be starting the journey on October 16th and getting into Bradford on Avon on the 21st. Alongside us will be quite a few friends who want to join us for the last leg of the ride.
