Story

Fin, an RAF pilot who was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross on operations in 2006, was diagnosed with the incurable cancer Multiple Myeloma in 2009. Following a bone marrow stem cell transplant, he returned to flying duties.  He relapsed in 2015 but had a second stem cell transplant and returned again to flying as the Commandant of the Central Flying School which included having the Red Arrows under his Command. a highlight of his career. Fin relapsed again in 2020 but he was given a novel therapy at the Royal Marsden Hospital. Fin continues to serve in the RAF and lives a very active life whilst continuing to battle this cancer. Matt, Dan Fin and Dunc are very close RAF pilot friends. Dunc both flew on the Red Arrows and also commanded the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.  Matt and Dan are the next generation of RAF pilots going through training. Fin and Dunc previously walked Hadrian’s Wall to raise money for Myeloma Charities along with some other mates. This time, Fin, Dunc, Matt and Dan are heading off overseas in  Oct 2022  to cross the Sahara in an old banger to raise money to combat Myeloma and to support the  Royal British Legion. Your support for these charities would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance
