Glamorgan Cricket and Citizens Cymru Wales fighting food poverty · 20 May 2020

Citizens UK member organisations from chapters across the UK are working to support people in their communities impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

Story

Glamorgan Cricket, working with Citizens Cymru Wales (registered charity 1107624), are supporting a Covid-19 Response Fund to help local community groups across Wales to tackle food poverty. The funds will be distributed by Citizens Cymru Wales to foodbanks and other food poverty initiatives who need it most.

This includes foodbanks and projects tackling food poverty caused by Covid-19 in Cardiff, Bangor, Swansea and Pontypridd. For example:

- Al Iklhas Centre, Cardiff, who are, running a weekly food bank for the community with a focus on refugees and asylum seekers

- Pontypridd Area Deanery Foodbank, Pontypridd

- Swansea BAME Hub, who are supporting 23 diverse communities with culturally specific food donations

- Coed Mawr Community Centre Foodbank, Bangor

Please help us tackle the increasing issue of food poverty in Wales.
