Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Multiple Sclerosis Society of Great Britain & Northern Ireland gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
I am actually taking part in 3 triathlons this year with the London one being the first, followed by Erewash on August 16th andDerby on September 13th. Yes I know I must be mad, some 44 year old trying to prove a point and probably killing myself in the process.
The inspriation came over a few pints with some friends and seemed like a good idea at the time, "Big up" the Breaston Massive iii
I have chosen The MS Society as one of my main charities.
MS wasn't really something that concerned me until a friend of mine that I had grown up with was diagnosed with it, I hadn't realised the effect that this condition would have on people.
I now know of at least 3 people that I socialise with that have this illness and how debilitating it can be and how quickly it can change peoples lives.
I would like to raise some money in an effort to help some of those affected by MS
Your help is gratefully appreciated.
Monday August 3rd 2009: OK 1 down 2 to go: Yes I managed to complete my first triathlon at London on Saturday 1st August in a time of 1hr 32m 43s. and am now looking forward to the next one at Erewash on August 16th. I wish to thank everyone who has donated so far and who do so after I have posted this update. Your donations are really important and spur me on in my efforts, lets hope that I reach my target of £1000.00 by the time that I have completed all three triathlons in September.
Thank you all again, Fergus
