Sadly a very good friend of mine, Pete Parchment was killed while doing the coast-coast cycle ride on 24th April 2013. It was a tragic accident that has had a massive effect on a lot of people.

I have know Pete for 25+ years and will always remember the laughs we all had, he was just such a nice bloke.

His family have set up their own Just Giving pages to try and raise money for 2 very worthy causes in his memory. I have set this one up to help them raise as much money as possible.

I will be taking part in a coast-coast cycle ride over 2 days on May 25/26th 2013 along with my son Josh who also has a Just giving page set up for Alzheimer's Society and 5 more of my friends. It's a distance of 193 miles and 18,647 ft accumalative climb which is really going to hurt!!!!!
