As most of you know, St Barnabas Hospice now holds a special place in my heart. They cared for my mum in the last few weeks of her life with kindness, dignity, concern and heart. They also looked after my brothers, sisters and I in a way that she would have been incredibly grateful for. As were we.

From the volunteers, to the nurses, doctors, chefs, cleaners and porters, they are the loveliest people we could have hoped for.

Unbelievably, it takes a charity and donations from us to support this kind of love for family and friends at the end of their lives. Every £1 you can spare means the world to me because I know someone else can be looked after the way mum was.
