Feel Good Contacts Run For Sightsavers · 28 September 2019
On 28th September 2019, staff at Feel Good Contacts will
participate in a 5K and 10K run, organised by Runthrough UK, taking place at Lee Valley Velo Park to fundraise for Sightsavers.
It is the mission of Sightsavers to prevent sight loss and
promote equal opportunities for over 225,000 people with disabilities in some of the world’s most poverty-stricken countries.
Consider the case of 21-year-old Olivia from Mozambique who
started losing her vision due to bi-lateral cataract which caused her to be blind for 4 years. Olivia had never seen her youngest son due to this. After a successful surgery funded by your donations to Sightsavers, she was able to return home to her family and farming life. Olivia is very thankful that she can see again!
Sightsavers protects millions of the world’s poorest people from avoidable blindness and debilitating diseases, and works with people with disabilities to claim their rights, and play an equal role in society.
Ed Hennessy, Corporate
Relationships Manager at Sightsavers states; ‘We’re thrilled to have the support of Feel Good Contacts. By
buying eye care products, Feel Good Contacts customers will also be helping
Sightsavers to protect and restore sight, and improve the lives of people with
disabilities in some of the world’s poorest countries.’
