Feed the Fasting at Masjid Al-Aqsa
“Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, shall have his sins forgiven, and he will be saved from the Fire of Hell, and he shall have the same reward as the fasting person, without his reward being diminished at all." (Ibn Khuzaymah)
£8 – Hot iftar meals at Masjid Al - Aqsa
1.6 million Palestinians don’t have enough to eat. Families in the West Bank routinely struggle to make ends meet due to restrictions on movement, accessing land, and safety issues.
Now, more than ever, the most vulnerable in Palestine need your help to stay fed through Ramadan. Spread joy, hope, and change this Ramadan by providing iftar to a fasting person at the holy Masjid of Al - Aqsa.
Preserving the sanctity of Al - Aqsa
Just £8 will provide a worshiper at Masjid Al-Aqsa with a hot iftar meal this Ramadan. Today, Muslims often face obstacles when trying to access and preserve this holy site. Every year, in recognition of the sanctity of Masjid Al-Aqsa, we give you the chance to provide hot meals to worshipers who continue to pray at the mosque, despite the many challenges they face to do so.
Each hot meal will consist of chicken, bread, water, yoghurt, juice, biscuits and dates and will provide one person with a nutritious iftar after a long day of fasting.
Why give through Human Appeal?
Last year, your charity allowed us to support 201,309 people during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, including 27,083 people in Palestine. This year, the need has never been greater. Change Ramadan for one person who was already struggling to support themselves before the outbreak of coronavirus, and who could put themselves and their communities at risk in the search for a meal for iftar.
The last year has been one of great struggle for many of us, but for so many, this Ramadan will be unbearably difficult. I humbly ask that you donate and share generously. Thank you.
