Sakina and I are extremely lucky to be the parents of our son, Leonardo. We are thankful to the Universe for he is a healthy boy. He is certainly a fragile creature and without a peaceful environment he would stand very little chance of survival. 

We are lucky to live in a peaceful society and, in spite of the most recent and despicable events, our lives are not disrupted very frequently. Most times we forget how privileged we are to live in a society like ours. And we should be very very thankful for this. 

This year I am walking 100km to raise money for War Child. Leonardo will walk 50km (half way) as It is not fair to put him through the pain of sitting in a chair for 24hrs. War Child is a charity that aims to reach children as early as possible when conflict breaks out. Their aim is to keep children in war zones safe, give them an education, and equip them with skills for the future. I do admire their bravery and the work they do. 

Please help me raise money for children who may not have a shelter, may have lost their families, their schools and live in a society that restrains their development.
