Story
Dear friends,
Yes, it is me again after nearly a three-year break due to a series of operations, a pandemic, two little guys have kept us very busy and moving places. I can promise you that during this time I always kept on toying with the idea of doing one of these challenges but it was simply too much. The promise I made back when I had my car accident in 2013 is still intact. So, here we go again.
I do not need to tell you much about why we need support children that have lost families and loved ones due to war conflicts. I know that our incomes are getting squeezed at the moment and we may be struggling financially. But this does not compare with the suffering of millions of children on this planet that have been hit by war. We are priviledged to live in a peaceful environment where you can simply live the place you live in and not showered by hostile invasions.
This year I will walk the South Coast Challenge again (100km) on the 3/4 of September, no matter the whether conditions. This time I will do it with my wife Sakina. Together we will cruise non stop going from Eastbourne to Arundel. Although Sakina is avid trekker, having walked The Way of Saint James, she has never walked over 40km in one day before. So, a challenge for both of us.
You know well that I have finished all the Challenges I was part of in the past. This time time it won't be different. For previous successful challenges, please check my webpage:

This year I selected War Child as a Charity because they are super efficient. It does go without saying what their aim is. And in light of the Russia-Ukraine conflict amongst other conflicts, children need our support more than ever. Anything we can do to help for as little that this may be will be amazing. How we response to crises really matters. I am aware that the Challenge is a way away but I would like this year to raise as much money as we possibly can.
As always, thanks very much for your support.
Federico and Sakina
