Story
Hi All you wonderful supporters..
I used to work with Liz, Lily's Mum and knew her when Lily died. I am a supporter for two reasons. Firstly I have consistently admired Liz's bravery, resilience and determination to find a cure for the disease that Lily died from, and to provide support for the many families that are affected by the wide variety of mitochondrial diseases. Support that she didn't have.Secondly as a scientist and biologist the journey that the Lily foundation has been on and the research that they do gives me never ending first hand stimulus and data for the lessons that I deliver in my classroom. I have supported the Lily foundation from its infancy and the whole family have been involved at various points along the way. We have produced packs, run the stall, prepared the ball, jumped out of planes and run half marathons. This however is the big one! I am both scared and excited by the challenge ahead. I am not by physique a marathon runner, but am privileged to have the opportunity to run in the London Marathon. So please help me raise money for this brilliant cause.

There is no cure for this disease which is for many, debilitating and life limiting. Please stand with us and fight Mitochondrial Disease and fight for hope.
