So it's already year 2 of FC Not Alone. How time flies...
Since FC Not Alone was formed in 2018 by Matthew Legg and Ian McKenzie, we have held a close relationship with CALM.
"The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. Our goal is a life less miserable for you, your friends, your family and for all men."
FC Not Alone have made a commitment every year to raise funds and awareness of CALM with our football tournaments. All funds raised on this page will go directly to CALM as we are big advocates of the work they are doing.
There are many players at this tournament who have been affected in some way by suicide and it has been sad to hear about so many stories of teams who have been set up as a tribute to a loved one who died by suicide.
This goes to show that we must keep supporting charities like CALM with their services that are literally saving lives.
We are setting up this crowdfunding page so that anyone who will not be able to attend the tournament on the day would like to make a donation to support CALM.
Your donations will go toward:
- Offering support to men in the UK, of any age, who are down or in crisis via our helpline, webchat and website
- Challenging a culture that prevents men seeking help when they need it
- Pushing for changes in policy and practice so that suicide is better prevented
- Supporting those bereaved by suicide, through the Support After Suicide Partnership (SASP), hosted by CALM, which aims to ensure that everyone bereaved or affected by suicide is offered and receives timely and appropriate support
Any donation you can give towards the amazing CALM is very much appreciated.
Thank you for your support.
