Story
I thought that when I turn 40 it would be a good time to have a go at a marathon!!!! Why not?...........well, hours of running around town training, getting soaked, getting blisters, spending my hard earned cash on high performance trainers instead of updating my wardrobe with the latest in fashion, missing out on night outs and quality time with my family and friends would surely be enough reasons to think better of it.
However all these thing pale into insignificance when I think about all the amazing things Rays of Sunshine can do with the money I raise. Rays of Sunshine make wishes come true for children with life limiting illnesses helping to make some happy memories for them. Most of you know that I work as a Liver Transplant Coordinator at Kings College Hospital. Our little patients have a tough time waiting for their transplant, their lives occupied with frequent trips to hospital, feeling exhausted, having pain, difficulty digesting food and not developing at the same pace as other children. I wanted to support a charity that can give these patients an opportunity to be distracted from their illness and and make their special wish come true.
If you can please help me reach my target. Thank you so much for your support. I promise not to talk endlessly about my running routes and times.
Thank you very much Faye
