Story
Sooo.. Myself and Rachel have decided to team up with the Anthony Seddon fund in aid to raise money and awareness for this incredible charity. The Anthony Seddon Fund has created a fundraiser "19 miles before Christmas" but we thought we would switch it up a notch. We both love the outdoors and I have recently found a new love of walking while Rachel has been walking and exercising for quite some time. We have decided that not only are we going to do 19 miles but in fact 20.... IN A DAY! We will be completing the 19 miles in memory of all those who have lost their lives by suicide in 2019. The extra mile is not only for those who have lost their lives in 2019 but also lives lost previously and this year. Rachel will be dedicating her last mile to her brother Rob who was sadly taken due to suicide.
A message from The Anthony Seddon Fund:
We are a small mental health charity, passionate about helping local people who are living with mental illness and its effects. We aim to advance awareness and educate the general public, in particular children and young people, in all areas relating to mental health and well-being. We also wish to improve the quality of life of people affected by mental health issues, their families, friends and carers, in Tameside and surround areas by promoting and protecting their physical and mental health through practical support, education and advice.
