Story
*A very sad edit to the original text below.. Fatma has now sadly left us. Her family have given their blessing for us to keep this fundraiser open for longer than was intended.
Hello and welcome to the 'Fatma's Waltz' JustGiving page, where - with your help - we hope to raise £5000 for the Beatson Cancer Charity.
Well, that was the original opening message. The fact is, that thanks to truly inspiring levels of generosity, the £5k target was smashed in less than three days. We're going to leave this JustGiving page open as there are still donations coming in from many other kind folk out there who feel they wish to give to the Beatson.
Thank you all who have donated, downloaded the single or shared the video.
And thank you also to all of you who are apparently not done doing so. Some of you have even given more than once!
'Fatma's Waltz' is written for my fiddle student Fatma Neilson, who has been receiving excellent care from the Beatson. I wrote her this piece to lift her spirits, and we have decided to try to give something back to the amazing team at the Beatson Cancer Charity.
You can donate directly from this page
Or buy the single from https://adamsutherland.
I'd also like to invite you to check out the music video -

Please help us to reach as many people as possible by sharing the Fatma's Waltz music video.
The music video is beautifully put together by Paul Jennings and features 28 of the finest traditional and jazz musicians from Scotland, England and the USA.
Thank you to Maisie, Joyce, Kirsty and all at the Beatson for allowing us to do this and for providing so much help and support along the way.
And also huge thanks to the enormous team of musicians, industry professionals and 'Fans of Fatma' who gave so generously with their energy, skills and time to make this happen.

And finally, the hugest of thanks of all go to the woman herself; the wonderful Fatma Neilson
