The Capital One FAST FOR A DAY challenge is back!
On Thursday 21st May 2020, some of our Capital One associates will be taking on the challenge to Fast for a day to help raise money for a local charity, Nottinghamshire Women's Aid.
The Challenge
Some of you may be aware that it's currently the Holy month of Ramadan, the 9th Month in the Islamic calendar where Muslims are expected to pray more, give to charity and to fast.
During Ramadan, Muslims who are able to fast are expected to abstain from all food, drink, smoking or sexual activity between the hours of sunrise and sunset
To help raise money for one of our local charities and to also experience part of what millions of Muslims across the world do in Ramadan, some of our Capital One Associates will be fasting for one day!
And yes, the same fasting rules will apply - no food, drink or smoking etc from sunrise until sunset. That's about 17 hours of fasting!
