In South Sudan — a country reeling from conflict, poverty and insecurity — famine was declared on February 20, 2017. More than 270,000 children may starve, and the humanitarian situation in this country continues to deteriorate.
"Children are already severely malnourished," said UNICEF official Jeremy Hopkins. "If we do not reach these children with urgent aid, many of them will die."
The smallest donation will save a child who is incapable of helping himself.
