This Christmas, love builds hope in some of the world's toughest places. Whether you are organising a church collection or taking on a personal challenge, your fundraiser will help communities still facing crisis around the world.

Story

Droughts are now more frequent and more intense in many countries due to the climate crisis. Rose and her family, and millions of people in Kenya, are struggling to get enough food and water.
The climate crisis robs her of what she needs to survive- a reliable source of water. She walks for 6 hours every day collecting water in heavy yellow jerry cans (20 kgs each when full). Can you imagine what that must be like in the heat of the day!

I saw the daily search for water for myself when I visited Ethiopia in October 2019. Primary school aged children carrying a yellow jerrycan on their back to and from a water source- sometimes skipping school as a result .

Your gift could help a community build an earth dam, so when the rains do come, they will have the water they need to live. People like Rose need every last drop to survive the drought. The children need education to thrive  in the world.

Please please help Christian Aid give Rose and people like her the gift of life, with an earth dam to store water.

Thank you!
