24 Hour Channel Swim · 21 April 2018

We support access to education in Africa to empower people affected by HIV/AIDS

Story

Farleigh house, (Uppingham School) has a long tradition of helping the Mango Tree. Every year the Farleigh Lower 6th have done a tough walk, cycle or climb however this year we have decided to shake it up.

We wanted to get the whole house involved, so that everyone feels like they have a direct connection to people less fortunate than us. The whole of Farleigh, with the help of Oceanos Pools, will complete a 24 hour swim in the back garden of Farleigh house. This "pool" is no ordinary one, it is an Endless Pool counter-current swim machine. To find out more about these pools please visit http://www.oceanospools.com.

If this didn't sound challenging enough we are aiming, as a whole to swim the length of the English Channel going into the early hours of the morning. It promises to be one of the most challenging thing many people in Farleigh have ever attempted.

It would be amazing if you could donate some money which would massively help and change lives of many children in Kenya and Tanzania. Please see the section on the Mango Tree for more information about the charity.
