 I will be doing "The Big Ben Nevis Expedition" on 12th August 2017 which is a sponsored trek to the top of the biggest mountain in the UK alongside others to help pregnant Syrian refugees and new born babies who are currently residing within camps in Jordan.

The money raised will go towards Islamic Help's Birth Clinic project in Jordan where free professional healthcare is provided from qualified midwives and doctors. As you can imagine, these women and new born babies are not blessed with the luxury of free healthcare and the rates are sky high making it impossible for them to be able to pay off their medical bills. This then leaves them with no choice but to give birth where there is a lack of equipment, health and safety, which in turn leads to many health complications and in some cases, death. It would cost the women £600 to cover the cost of birth (baby delivery) and family aftercare. Many cannot afford this as they have no income! As a result, many women are having to decide between food and health which is something we have never had to do and will never understand to it's full capacity.
