102458 step challenge. A third the area of Pakistan in square miles which has been flooded · 24 September 2022

Floods are devastating Pakistan, leaving millions in need of urgent help to survive. If you can, please donate now.

Story

Floods have devastated Pakistan. Official estimates suggest that one third of Pakistan has been affected by the flood. That is an area larger than the size of UK.

Many people have died. But this figure will only increase as starvation, disease and poor access to urgent healthcare sets in.

Media images show tragic scenes of young children scraping the bottom of empty cooking pots, parents crying for children who have drowned in floods and the elderly who have nothing left after a lifetimes work - not so much as a morsel of bread.

DEC is committed to helping this unfolding humanitarian disaster. Please give generously as every pound donated makes a massive difference.

£30 provides hygiene kits for six people.

£50 provides shelter for two families.

£100 provides food for two families for a month.

Thank you so much.
