Story
At MANOR COURT SURGERY, some of our team are currently in the month of Ramadaan where we fast from dawn to sunset (currently over 18hrs a day), but this year that is also on a background of CoVid-19 and lockdown...Last week a couple of us had challenged colleagues in our practice team to join us fasting for a day.
To get something even more from this, when we learned of the issues regarding fundraising currently experienced by our fantastic local MARY ANN EVANS hospice, I agreed to sponsor each one achieving their goal, with money raised going to this super and worthwhile cause. Here evolved
MCS Fasters...Laura, Hollie, Donna, Tracey & Lynn 💕
These 5 fantastic ladies will be ending their 18 and a half hour fast with us at 8.53pm precisely this evening...🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
(couldn‘t get a group photo for obvious reasons! )
Please show your support for the hospice and our brilliant colleagues who have given up food in solidarity with us today...
A bit of background to the work of the hospice...
As the country tries to get to grips with the Coronavirus pandemic, we at Mary Ann Evans Hospice and South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) have expanded our Rapid Response End of Life Care Service. The service will now be available day and night across all of northern Warwickshire. Now providing all of Northern Warwickshire with twenty-four hour end of life community care.
Our wonderful team of nurses are now available day and night across all of northern Warwickshire - twenty-four hour end of life community care for the most vulnerable.
We desperately need funding
Our normal fundraising operations have been decimated due to the outbreak and we desperately need help. Our target for this year is £100,000, and it is now even more critical we hit this to ensure our services continue to deliver greatly needed support.
