Edinburgh Fast 24 · 23 March 2018
Hello there!
Together with fellow members of UNICEF society at Edinburgh University, I will be fasting from the 23rd- 24th of March to raise awareness and funds for the thousands of malnourished children in East Africa.
At the moment, drought, war and famine has resulted in millions of children and their families facing starvation. More than 880,000 children are severely malnourished.
How can we make a difference?
UNICEF currently provides life-saving supplies and services to children in danger in South Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda. UNICEF supplies of clean water, life-saving food and vaccines aim to keep children safe from the effects of drought and conflict.
£5 could help provide life-saving food for a child for a week.
£15 could help provide life-saving therapeutic milk to treat two severely malnourished children.
£18 could provide 5,000 water purifying tablets to give families clean, safe water.
£23 COULD PROVIDE A MONTH'S SUPPLY OF LIFE-SAVING PEANUT PASTE FOR A SEVERELY MALNOURISHED CHILD.
Please support this worth while cause!
