The average distance to the moon is 384 400 km, African women walk the equivalent of this and back 16 times a day just to fetch water.

 

16 million people in Africa have no operating water supply with their source of water an average distance of 1 km away.

 

Islamic Help is supporting the ‘Water for Africa’ campaign in which we are building wells and providing people with the basic necessities we take for granted such as water.
