Doctor Speedo & Fancy Dress Jess run January!

Last spring myself and Howard bumped into each other on Liverpool's waterfront, myself dressed as a dragon and Howard in nothing but his speedos. After chatting for a few minutes, we came to realise we both had a lot in common, as we were both undertaking separate 5km a day running challenges to raise money for charity! We've since stayed in touch, and this year decided to team up - running another 31 x 5km's consecutively in the hope to spread a positive message and bring a smile to those we run past.

The charities we are supporting are Mind, Alder Hey Children's charity and Diabetes UK.

The past two years have been difficult for all of us, which is why we've chosen to support charities which impact a lot of people, and so we hope our whacky outfits can brighten the days of those we jog past - as we'll be running rain or shine! 

The support of Diabetes UK is very personal for Howard, having been diagnosed with Type 1 back in December 2021. The life changing condition impacts his life on the daily, and will prove challenging to manage whilst running everyday, but Howard is keen to raise awareness and support the incredible work that the charity do.
