Story
Fancy Dress 4 NHS
Inspired by the weekly Clap For Our Carers, we felt we wanted to help make a direct difference to the welfare of the whole nursing community without whom we would have never made it through this crisis.
Show your support for all NHS Front line nursing and care staff, and all of the care workers, by dressing up in fancy dress and joining our fun campaign, which will raise funds directly for the Royal College of Nursing Foundation - Support for Covid 19 Fund
How you can get involved
Put simply, Fancy Dress 4 NHS is a chance for you to share your own message of support for the NHS whilst wearing fancy dress at home (or at work). Just a photograph with placards will do, or you can sing, dance, recite a poem - it is up to you!
Just upload your photos or videos of you and your family, online to your favourite social media pages, with the hashtag:
#FD4NHS
The campaign will carry on through month of June, so start getting creative now!
What will you wear?
Will you make your own costume?
What is your message ?
Let's show our appreciation, as a nation, to not only the NHS, but all care staff who have been working so hard to get the UK through this challenging time.
Let's bring a smile to their faces.

BUT... it's not just about Fancy Dress!
1) It is about raising money!
The Fancy Dress 4 NHS campaign hopes to raise at least £1000, 100% of which will provide funds for the practical and psychological support of front line nursing staff, midwives and health care support workers throughout this Covid-19 crisis, by raising money for the Royal College of Nursing Foundation - Support for Covid 19 Fund
The RCN Foundation - Support for Covid 19 Fund provides funding to nurses, midwives and health care assistants who are or have been working on the front line during the COVID-19 pandemic and who have been financially adversely affected by the crisis.
The fund will also be used to provide psychological support to front line care staff during this crisis, especially those based in intensive care units who have to bear the psychological impact of caring for patients affected by COVID-19.
So donate here now on Just Giving.
2) It is about helping us to lobby for a Covid-19 National Day of Respect!
This shared battle of Covid-19, with its highs, lows and tremendous community spirit, will go down in our nation's history. It is therefore important that we forever honour and remember it by giving it its own special day of Respect.
