Story
On Father's Day this year, a team made up of a number of the Boyes family, their partners and friends ran to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of an amazing and inspiring dad, who died of cancer on 25th January 2012.
Thank you to those who joined us on the day and to those who have so kindly donated in memory of Simon.
Sunday 17 June 2012, Regents Park, London. Starting at 10am
Our team name is Simon Boyes
We wore our green Macmillan TShirts with pride. Guy was the first member of the team to finish in 45mins he was closely followed by Tom then Nick and James. Sarah and Lauren completed in good times but Ali and Claire were rather slowed down by the children in their buggy - one young man even insisted on going to the swings half way round the course! After the event we shared a picnic together and drank a toast to Simon. Amazingly it did not rain.
