We exist to give a lifetime of support to the wider Army family, regardless of where or when a soldier served. We act swiftly and efficiently in providing support in the form of grants to those who find themselves in real need. We also provide grants to charities who support the wider Army family.

Story

We are a group of families with children serving in the forces. By December 2012we hope to have raised £2500 for ABF through a variety of fundraising events and donations. (We’ll keep you updated throughout the year)

ANY amount is gratefully received so whether that be £1 or £100 we thank you in anticipation.

The Army Benevolent Fund is The Soldiers’ Charity and was founded in 1944. It gives lifetime support to serving and retired soldiers and their families by providing financial assistance.

They currently raise £7 million a year to meet applications for assistance which has risen by 30% over the past two years. As a result of Current Operations it is anticipated that the requests for assistance will rise significantly to £14 million a year by 2015.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid (an additional 28%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
