Story
This year I would like to mark my 40th birthday by making this birthday even more special for asking my dear friends and family members to forgo birthday gifts and donate to this fundraiser instead. Collectively we can all reap the rewards in this world and the hearafter inshallah.
Allhumdulluah as you get older your priorities and focus changes and you realise how blessed and fortunate you are. Having such a loving and supportive family and an amazing network of friends who I can proudly call my family together I feel we can make a difference. We can help give 30 people their eyesight back?
This is an amazing Sadaqah Jaariyah opportunity.
Our eye camps attract around 300 people and we carry out between 30-50 cataracts, giving people their eyesight back. Other patients people just need glasses, which are prescribed to them free.
Here is how it all works:
1. We advertise locally to ensure as many people are aware of the upcoming eye camp.
2. We carry out screening services to determine those who require glasses, medication, surgery, or further hospital referrals.
3. Those who require surgery, undergo further testing for Diabetes, Blood Pressure, HIV and Hepatitis B & C.
4. Patients undergo surgery and are provided with accommodation and food during this time.
5. The following day, check-ups are carried out and bandages are removed.
6. One week later, a follow-up camp is organised whereby surgeons can ensure patients are recovering well and that eyesight is fully restored.
The cost of one eye camp is £1500 and in return you get a full report, all the case studies & more importantly, give people the gift of sight that they can only dream and could never afford.
Perhaps we could set one up in one of these places below:
o Pakistan
o Kashmir
o Bangladesh
o Kenya
A feedback report will be received and sent on to you.
