We believe in the power of every G.I.R.L.™ to change the world.

Story

My name is Faith Bennett, Girl Scout in the Heart of Pennsylvania Ambassador with Troop 50800. I am currently working on my Gold Award Project, which is the highest level of achievement one can receive in Girl Scouts. For my project, I plan to build a beautiful Labyrinth at Hillside Park in Clarks Summit, which will serve as a peaceful, mediative outlet for people in my community. As a result of the Coronavirus Pandemic that has created hardships for communities throughout the world over this past year, people have struggled more than ever with anxiety, depression, stress, and isolation.

By providing a labyrinth for my community, I wholeheartedly believe it will offer my community a safe place to reflect upon one’s thoughts, leaving each individual with a feeling of renewal in mind, body, and spirit. Additionally, the Labyrinth I will be creating will be ADA accessible (Americans with Disability Act). It is intended for people of all ages to enjoy and use as a holistic solution for their well-being.

To construct something of this magnitude, I am seeking your support and donations to allow this Labyrinth to come to fruition. I have found The Labyrinth Company, located in Greenville, North Carolina, that sells prefabricated Labyrinth kits, which will allow myself and my team of volunteers to build the Labyrinth. The labyrinth kit I have chosen costs $15,000.00, so I am asking for your donation to raise funds to purchase this kit. The future outlook of the Labyrinth at Hillside Park depends on your support; with your help, we can help resolve the surge of stress, depression, anxiety, and isolation within my community by creating a peaceful area for people to relax, meditate, and heal spiritually.
