>> Update: Monday 10 May 2021 (28th Ramadan)
🏆 Yesterday I managed to complete the 150km 🎯 target with a 10km run, Alhamdulillah. It was your dua', encouragement and support that kept me going. Jazakumullahu Khair. I will continue to run and try to reach 175km by the end of Ramadan, InshaAllah.
🌹 I am overjoyed by the generosity of 100 or so supporters (so far) who have helped me go beyond my fundraising target. It means so much to me and the College. May Allah bless them and their families in this life and make this contribution heavier on the scales on the day of judgement. I hope others will join the caravan too before it leaves by the end of Ramadan. Please keep the donations coming as the College is in real need of every support it could gather.
🤔 Cambridge Islamic College truly is an unique and rare opportunity for your investment. Supporting the legacy of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) 📚 is one of those categories reserved for sadaqah jariyah (charity with exponentially increasing and continuous reward).
🌾 “A Grain of Corn Which Grows Seven Ears, and Each Ear Has a Hundred Grains” (Quran 2:261)
🔴 If you have not already joined the caravan please don't miss it. It is leaving soon, please join in quickly! Please donate now.
Jazakumullahu Khair

Assalaamu 'Alaykum
Jazakallahu Khair for visiting my JustGiving page.
Why am I running 150k in 15 hours?
Well I like running anyway and I wanted to set a challenge this ramadan to run while fasting. I am part of Cambridge Islamic College working on a voluntary basis. The challenges we have in the College are enormous which people outside do not see. Hence I have set a visible challenge for people to see so at least they would have a glimpse of difficulties and challenges facing the College.
You can learn more about the College by checking out the main Ramadan campaign where your donations would go towards. In short, we have got the premises in central Cambridge; world-class teachers and academics; and intelligent, hard-working and capable students. But we need funds to move forward as the covid and lockdown has made matters difficult for the College and the students. I am very hopeful that everyone of you would chip in to help the College (situated in the education hub of the world) in whatever way possible. Your support will go a long way and InshaAllah you will be pleasantly surprised on the Day of Judgement as to the amount of good deeds you would have accumulated because of the wise Sadaqah Jariyah you made to the College. Please donate generously. May Allah bless you and your family.
I started my running on the 1st day of Ramadan. You can follow my progress below. Running or any other form of regular exercise is not only good for the body but also for the mind and the soul. So this is also a reminder for all of you to continue or take up regular exercise. So, in addition to helping out to achieve my target, you can also join the challenge at http://bit.ly/5000KRC2021.
In addition to Sadaqah CIC can accept Zakat too.
