Thanks very much for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.This year we are running for "500 miles", a charity co-founded by Olivia Giles. Olivia was a partner in a large law firm when she contracted the blood poisoning form of meningitis. Gangrene spread up her limbs and it was necessary to amputate both her arms and legs below her elbows and knees. Through 500 miles, Olivia helps disabled people in and who have lost their limbs or the use of their limbs to access and afford prostheses and orthoses and establishes and supports centres which make and fit these devices. We are running to help raise money to train Elvas Singini to become a prosthetic and orthotic technician. Elvas has been working with the 500 miles centre since November and will start her diploma this October.
