Hi, the company I work for (Reckitt Benckiser) has organised a fundraising event in support of Save the Children.

It’s called Global Challenge: from May 29 to June 9 2009, a group of Reckitt Benckiser employees will trek in the Ladakh region of the Himalayas inNorthern India. The Global Challenge will conclude with the trekkers visiting some of Save the Children's vital work in the Ladakh region.

I have been lucky enough to be chosen to take part in this Global Challenge.

This is an exciting, once in a lifetime opportunity and a true challenge.

We will be trekking at high altitudes (almost up to 5,000 metres!) and it will require a lot of specific training from all of us in the next months.

In order to take part, all participants are expected to raise a minimum amount of money to devolve entirely to Save the Children.

My personal challenge is to raise £ 2,500 minimum but I’m determined to exceed that threshold as much as possible.

Please sponsor me and help to save and improve the lives of those children who are most vulnerable and most in need.

Just £10 can save one child’s life by providing adequate health & hygiene. Of course, if you can afford more please do it!

Ciao, l’azienda per cui lavoro (Reckitt Benckiser, ex MiraLanza) ha organizzato un evento benefico per supportare Save the Children.

Si chiama Global Challenge: dal 29 Maggio al 9 Giugno 2009, un gruppo di dipendenti Reckitt Benckiser farà un trekking nel Ladakh, una regione dell’ Himalaya nell’India settentrionale. Il Global Challenge si concluderà con una visita ad una serie di siti nel Ladakh dove si svolge il lavoro di importanza vitale di Save the Children.

Sono stato fortunato ad essere scelto per prendere parte a questa Global Challenge.

E’ un’opportunità fantastica che capita una volta nella vita ed una sfida vera.

Cammineremo tutto il giorno ad altezze elevate (fino a quasi 5,000 metri!) e ciò richiederà molto allenamento specifico nei prossimi mesi per tutti noi.

Per poter partecipare, tutti i partecipanti dovranno raccogliere una quantità minima di soldi da devolvere interamente a Save the Children.

La mia sfida personale è di raccogliere un minimo di 2,500 sterline (3,200 € circa), ma sono determinato a superare questa soglia quanto più possibile.

Per favore sponsorizzatemi ed aiuterete a salvare e migliorare le vite di quei bambini vulnerabili ed in bisogno di aiuto.

Solo 10 sterline (13 € circa) possono salvare la vita di un bambino fornendogli cure ed igiene adeguati. Naturalmente, se potete permettervi di più fatelo!
